My goal this semester was to run a full 5k. I did this on Friday night.

My new goal: to run a half marathon next Feb. (luckily I have a full year to prepare for this)

Defying Gravity

A few months ago my roommate and I decided we should go see Wicked...again! She has seen it four times and I had seen it once but it still sounded fun so we looked it up and there was a showing in San Antonio. We invited our other roommate (who has also seen it multiple times) and my parents said they would count it as a Christmas gift to me. We went to go see it this past weekend and it was so good! I love the music. I love the story. I love the costumes. It is just so good! Since we were already in San Antonio we decided to make a weekend of it. We saw the early showing and spent the rest of the night on the riverwalk! After some delicious Mexican food and all-important ice cream, we went back to hang out at the hotel. Because my roommates are from Chicago, one of them had never been to the alamo so that was a must on our list. We spent the morning walking around the alamo (and really just taking pictures) and then walking the streets of the city. The weather was gorgeous! We decided to stop in Gruene on the way home and eat at the Gristmill :) It was an overall great weekend (we also saw the Justin Beiber movie Friday!!!) but now it's back to reality...

My mom is also coming up later this week to see Mamma Mia with me! 

SUMMER!

I am so excited that I have the oppurtunity to work as a camp counselor at Cho-Yeh this summer!! It will be two months full of loving on God's kids and I can't wait :)

Do Not Worry

Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

SNOW DAY!

Classes and work were cancelled for a snow day! Although we only got about an inch of snow it has been exciting nonetheless. Today has consisted of sleeping in, watching the country music video countdown, playing/taking pictures in the snow, enjoying the company of my lovely roomies, and watching movies with the promise of many  more to come today! Let's just say it's been a good day and it's nowhere near being over :)
